Connect SIMS (by ESS)

PREREQUISITES

SIMS .net or SIMS 8 (cloud) with Discover/Reports access
School admin or MIS Manager credentials
L.I.F.E API key (shown after enrolment)

Student demographics (UPN, name, year, reg group)
Assessment data (KS2 prior attainment, current grades)
Attendance (marks, sessions, PA flags)
SEN status, EHCP, PP/FSM flags

Open SIMS → Focus → Manage External Applications
Click Add External Application, name it L.I.F.E Platform
Set the Callback URL to:
https://api.lifecoach-121.com/api/integrations/sims/callback
Copy the Client ID and Client Secret from SIMS
Return here, paste them below, and click Test Connection

Credentials are encrypted at rest (AES-256) and stored in Azure Key Vault. L.I.F.E uses read-only SIMS API access. Privacy & GDPR policy

Connect Arbor Education

PREREQUISITES

Arbor with REST API enabled (admin settings)
An API user with "Reporting" and "Student Data" scopes
Your Arbor school subdomain (e.g. stmarys.arbor.sc)

DATA FIELDS SYNCED

Student demographics, year groups, reg groups
Assessment & markbooks (all subjects)
Attendance marks, behaviour events
SEN provisions, EHCP status, PP eligibility

Log into Arbor as an admin → School Settings → Integrations → API
Enable the REST API and create a new API Key
Set scopes: students:read, assessments:read, attendance:read
Copy the API Key and your subdomain
Paste them below and click Test Connection

Connect Bromcom MIS

PREREQUISITES

Bromcom Cloud MIS with API access enabled
Admin credentials with "Data Export" permission
Your Bromcom school code

Attendance codes, session marks
SEN register, EHCP, PP/LAC flags

Log into Bromcom → Admin → Third-Party Integrations
Click Add Integration and select "REST API (read-only)"
Name it L.I.F.E Platform and copy the generated token
Paste your school code and API token below

📄 Smart Data Upload

Upload CSV files or screenshots of MIS reports to populate your dashboard. Select which section you want to fill, then drop your file. Works with exports from SIMS, Arbor, Bromcom, CPOMS, or any spreadsheet.

Device & Data Governance Policy

Organisation devices only — Personal mobiles, laptops, and tablets must NOT be used to upload student data
Encrypted USB only — Password-encrypted, organisation-provided USB drives (AES-256 / FIPS 140-2)
MDM required — Mobile devices must have MDM enrolled and disk encryption enabled
Image capture — Screenshots of MIS reports may only be taken on managed devices with audit logging

The L.I.F.E engine continuously ingests publicly available, authoritative data sources to benchmark your performance against national standards. These sources feed the Brain Library via the UKCI standby loop — running 24/7 in the background. Patient and education statistics are cross-referenced across multiple sources to account for potential over-inflation or under-deflation.
